Advanced Tab

Select the Advanced tab of the Link analysis Startup Panel to access options to determine some of the parameters that will guide the rule extraction algorithm through the analysis.

Options for results.

Number of cuts for continuous variables
Enter the number of cuts for dividing the continuous variables (if any). This segmentation enables STATISTICA SAL to transform the continuous variables so they can be used in the analysis. You must have at least one continuous variable in order for this option to be available.
Support: Minimum / Maximum
Enter the minimum and maximum support for any rule (sequence or association) to be included in the final results. Items achieving a support level less than the designated value will be excluded from the analysis. The search algorithm will terminate when no additional rules can be extracted that meet the minimum support condition (or when any of the other stopping criteria is satisfied).
Confidence: Minimum / Maximum
Enter the minimum and maximum confidence for any rule (sequence or association) to be included in the final results. Items achieving a level of confidence less than the designated value will be excluded from the analysis. The search algorithm will terminate when no additional rules can be extracted that meet the minimum confidence condition (or when any of the other stopping criteria is satisfied).
Maximum number of elements in an itemset
Enter the maximum number of items that a single itemset can contain.
