Fit Distributions - Options Tab

Select the Options tab of the Fit Distributions dialog box to access the options described here.

Rank results by

The Rank results by group box contains the available statistical tests for ranking the fit of each distribution.

Continuous variables

The Continuous variables group box contains the statistical test for ranking the fit of each distribution for each continuous variable selected.

Kolmogorov-Smirnov

Select the Kolmogorov-Smirnov option button to rank the results of the distribution fitting by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.

Chi-square

Select the Chi-square option button to rank the results of the distribution fitting by the chi-square test.

Anderson-Darling

Select the Anderson-Darling option button to rank the results of the distribution fitting by the Anderson-Darling test.

Discrete variables

The Discrete variables group box contains the statistical test for ranking the fit of each distribution for each discrete variable selected.

Kolmogorov-Smirnov

Select the Kolmogorov-Smirnov option button to rank the results of the distribution fitting by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.

Chi-square

Select the Chi-square option button to rank the results of the distribution fitting by the chi-square test.

Chi-square binning

The Chi-square binning group box contains options for the type of binning to be performed for the computation of the chi-square test.

Equal probabilities

Select the Equal probabilities option button to construct the bins such that the probability of sampling from the theoretical distribution within the range of each bin is equal across all bins.

Equal intervals

Select the Equal intervals option button to construct the bins into neat intervals based upon the range of the observed data.
