After you have created a predictive model in
Spotfire,
you can evaluate the model against data containing similar values to predict.

Spotfire,
from the
Model Summary pane.
Procedure

Click the icon for evaluating the model (
).

In the Evaluate Analytic Model dialog box,
specify the data table for which to apply the data, and then match the response
columns and the predictor columns. Click
OK.
Typically, you evaluate a model against another data table that
includes the values you are trying to predict using the model. For example, you
can compare sales figures from data captured from month to month.
Spotfire
displays the evaluation.

Review the panes
Evaluation Summary and
Residuals vs. Predicted, and then apply any
additional available diagnostic visualizations you want to review.
