Registering a Data Plane

You need to register your existing Kubernetes cluster as a data plane before you start using the different capabilities provided by TIBCO Control Plane. When you register a Kubernetes cluster as a data plane, TIBCO Control Plane infrastructure components get deployed in your Kubernetes cluster. These infrastructure components are required to create the connection between data plane and TIBCO Control Plane. By using TIBCO Control Plane, you can monitor both your cloud deployments and Non-Kubernetes installations from a single dashboard. You can register an non-kubernetes TIBCO product, which is monitored by TIBCO Hawk as data plane.

Registering an Existing Kubernetes Cluster

To monitor and manage an existing Kubernetes cluster, you must register an existing Kubernetes cluster as a data plane. For more information, refer Registering an Existing Kubernetes Cluster.

Registering Non-Kubernetes Data Plane

To monitor an non-kubernetes TIBCO product, use the Registering Non-Kubernetes Data Plane wizard. The non-kubernetes TIBCO product must be already being monitored by using TIBCO Hawk.  Currently, TIBCO Control Plane supports TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ 5.x monitoring. For more information, refer Registering Non-Kubernetes Data Plane.
