Spotfire software |
To run Spotfire Analyst 14.0.x with a connection to a Spotfire Server, version 14.0.x of Spotfire Server with a Spotfire 14.0.x deployment is required. A server connection is needed for software deployment and license management in large organizations. For information about which versions of existing Spotfire Analyst installations can be upgraded to version 14.0.x by connecting to a Spotfire Server 14.0.x, with a Spotfire 14.0.x deployment, see the Spotfire Server system requirements. Spotfire Analyst 14.0.x can also be used as a stand-alone application and does then not require any additional Spotfire software, or connection to a Spotfire Server. This possibility replaces the previous product offering Spotfire Desktop. |

Microsoft .NET Framework |
Note: Microsoft
.NET Framework version 4.8 must be installed before you run the Spotfire
Analyst 14.0.x installer. If you are upgrading an existing Spotfire Analyst
installation by connecting to a Spotfire Server with a Spotfire 14.0.x
deployment, you must have installed Microsoft .NET Framework before upgrading.
Note: You must
have administrator rights to install Microsoft .NET Framework.

Connectors (optional) |
If you are using Spotfire Connectors to access data in external systems, note that additional system requirements might apply, including that a data source driver for the connector typically must be installed. Importing SAS data files (optional) |
You can import SAS data files (for information about supported file formats, see the Spotfire Analyst User Guide for your version of Spotfire) into Spotfire directly. You must have installed the SAS Providers for OLE DB 9.22 or higher on the computer that is running the Spotfire client. To download SAS Providers for OLE DB, go to Downloads & Hot Fixes on https://support.sas.com (free registration on the SAS website is required). Note: SAS
Providers for OLE DB are not supported for use in the Spotfire Web Player
service (the SAS driver is not thread-safe, which can cause general platform
instabilities).
Note: It is
strongly recommended to use SAS Providers for OLE DB 9.43 or higher, as there
are known issues with the older versions of the driver.
