Spotfire® for Android
This page lists the system requirements for installing and running Spotfire® for Android version 1.4 on your mobile Android device.
Hardware | |
---|---|
Device |
Any phone or tablet device that can run Android 11 or later. |
Software | |
---|---|
Operating system | Android 11 or later, with Google Play Services installed. |
TIBCO Spotfire software | Connection(*) to a Spotfire Server, version
12.0.x or 11.4.x (LTS versions) and later. Connection to a node manager running
Spotfire® Web Player, version 12.0.x or 11.4.x and later.
Note: Lower LTS versions might still be supported but are no
longer updated. For more information about Spotfire LTS support, see
Overview of Spotfire Releases - Innovation and LTS (Long-Term
Support).
Note: * There
are no known restrictions on the type of connection (such as VPN). If the
mobile device can connect to the server from a web browser (over HTTP or
HTTPS), the Spotfire® for Android app should also be able to connect. Because
the app connects using dedicated web services, any security appliances or
reverse proxies between the app and the server must be configured properly to
allow those requests and responses to work.

Authentication method |
Spotfire for Android supports most authentication methods that
are supported by Spotfire Server, including the following.
The following authentication types are not supported for
Spotfire for Android.
Note: Authentication for connecting to
Google BigQuery and Google Analytics is not supported.
Note: External actions are only supported if you use TIBCO
Cloud™ Spotfire. In on-premises and other types of Spotfire environments,
external actions are not supported using this version of Spotfire® for Android.
For more information on Spotfire Server authentication, see its system requirements. |
