Spotfire® for Apple iOS

This page lists the system requirements for installing and running Spotfire® for Apple iOS version 2.14.0 on your mobile iOS device.

Hardware
Device

Any Apple iPad or iPhone device that can run iOS 14 or higher.

Software
Operating system

iOS 14 or higher.

Spotfire software Connection* to a Spotfire Server, version 14 or 12.0.x (LTS versions) and later. Connection to a node manager running Spotfire® Web Player, version 14 or 12.0.x and later.
Note: Lower LTS versions might still be supported but are no longer updated. For more information about Spotfire LTS support, see Overview of Spotfire Releases - Innovation and LTS (Long-Term Support).
Note: * There are no known restrictions on the type of connection (such as VPN) that is used. If the mobile device can connect to the server from a web browser (over HTTP/S), the Spotfire for iOS app should also be able to connect. Since the app connects using some dedicated web services, any security appliances or reverse proxies in between must be configured properly to allow those requests and responses through.
Authentication method Spotfire for Apple iOS mobile application supports most authentication methods that are supported by Spotfire Server, including the following:
  • Basic Database1
  • Web Authentication methods OAuth and OpenID
  • Basic LDAP2
  • Kerberos3
  • NTLM

Note: Authentication for connecting to Google BigQuery and Google Analytics is not supported.
Note: External actions are supported only if you use TIBCO Cloud™ Spotfire. In on-premises and other types of Spotfire environments, external actions are not supported using this version of Spotfire® for Apple iOS.
