Spotfire database times out

Database timeouts are usually the result of an overloaded database.

Always investigate Spotfire database errors. Work with the database administrator to identify the queries that have issue, and open a support ticket.

Resolution

Check whether the server is waiting for a free connection. If so, see Database connection pool size.
If the Database ActiveCount is consistently close to the maximum, consider raising it. The Database ActiveCount metric is listed in Server metrics to monitor (advanced).
Consider that your deployment requires a more powerful database.

Note: A Refused Information Services jobs error can be caused by a misconfigured call.
