Upgrading or downgrading client packages
It is recommended to run the same version of Spotfire Analyst client and Spotfire Server in production environments. However, it is possible to connect to the server using a newer or an older client version. This facilitates upgrading or downgrading the client packages and helps ensuring that the same version is used by the clients and the selected deployment area on the server.
Note: It is possible to configure a deployment area to force the clients to
automatically accept the update when they connect (rather than letting the user
decide). See
