Spotfire Server and Environment - Quick Start

Attachment manager cache

The Spotfire attachment manager caches library content and the results of information link executions when downloading or saving large amounts of data.

To increase the expiration time and the cache size, use the config-attachment-manager command to edit the --max-cache-expiration-time and --max-cache-size parameters.

These parameters set the maximum idle time (in seconds), after which cache entries are removed, and set the maximum amount of disk space (in megabytes) used by the cache. The expiration time default is 86,400 seconds (24 hours). The cache size default is 10,240 MB.

Increase these values to allow more items to be cached for a longer period of time.

For general instructions, see Executing commands on the command line.

Note: Regardless of these settings, the cache is emptied when a Spotfire instance is restarted.
