Ribbon bar. Select the Data Mining tab. In the Learning group, click Machine Learning to display the Machine Learning Startup Panel.

Classic menus. From the Data Mining menu, select Machine Learning (Bayesian, Support Vectors, K-Nearest) to display the Machine Learning Startup Panel.

The Startup Panel contains one tab, Quick, from which you can select an analysis. For regression problems, select either Support Vector Machines or K-Nearest Neighbors. In addition to the above, for classification problems, you can also select Naïve Bayes Classifiers.

See the Machine Learning Index and Overview, and the Support Vector Machines Introductory Overview, Naive Bayes Classifier Introductory Overview, and K-Nearest Neighbors Introductory Overview.

Support Vector Machines
Select Support Vector Machines and click the OK button to display the Support Vector Machines dialog box. You can also double-click on Support Vector Machines to display this dialog box.
Naive Bayes Classifiers
Select Naive Bayes Classifiers and click the OK button to display the Naive Bayes dialog box. You can also double-click on Naive Bayes Classifiers to display this dialog box.
K-Nearest Neighbors
Select K-Nearest Neighbors and click the OK button to display the K-Nearest Neighbors dialog box. You can also double-click on K-Nearest Neighbors to display this dialog box.
OK
After selecting an analysis on the Quick tab, click the OK button to display a specific dialog box according to which option selected.
Cancel

More information is available in the case selection conditions overview, syntax summary, and dialog box description.
W
Click the W (Weight) button to display the Analysis/Graph Case Weights dialog box, which is used to adjust the contribution of individual cases to the outcome of the current analysis by "weighting" those cases in proportion to the values of a selected variable.
