Distributions & Simulation Analysis Startup Panel and Quick Tab
Ribbon bar. Select the Statistics tab. In the Base group, click More Distributions to display the Distributions & Simulation Startup Panel.
Classic menus. On the Statistics menu, select Distributions & Simulation to display the Distributions & Simulation Startup Panel.
The Startup Panel contains one tab: Quick.
- Fit Distribution
- Select
Fit Distribution and click the
OK button to display the
Fit Distributions dialog box.
Note:
- Run Simulation
- Select Run Simulation and click the OK button to display the Simulation Methods dialog box. When you select Run Distribution, STATISTICA expects a matrix file as input. Matrix files can be created from within various other modules (e.g., Distributions & Simulation - Fit Distribution, Basic Statistics - Correlation Matrices, etc.). See also, Matrix File Format.
- Design Simulation
- Select
Design Simulation and click the
OK button to display the
Design simulation dialog box.
Profiler. Select Profiler and click the OK button to display the Model Profiler dialog box.
- OK
- After selecting either Fit Distribution or Run Simulation, click the OK button to begin the selected analysis.
- Cancel
- Click the Cancel button to close the Startup Panel without performing an analysis.
- Options
- See Options Menu for descriptions of the commands on this menu.
- Open Data
- Click the Open Data button to display the Select Data Source dialog box, which is used to choose the spreadsheet on which to perform the analysis. The Select Data Source dialog box contains a list of the spreadsheets that are currently active.
- Select Cases
- Click the Select Cases button to display the Analysis/Graph Case Selection Conditions dialog box, which is used to create conditions for which cases will be included (or excluded) in the current analysis. More information is available in the case selection conditions overview, syntax summary, and dialog description. Note that other options are provided in the subsequent dialog boxes to specifically identify observations that are to be used as a test sample (see also the Overview for details).
- W
- Click the W (Weight) button to display the Analysis/Graph Case Weights dialog box, which is used to adjust the contribution of individual cases to the outcome of the current analysis by "weighting" those cases in proportion to the values of a selected variable. In the STATISTICA Distributions & Simulation module, weights are interpreted as simple case multipliers.
