Prerequisites for Running Examples

Before running the examples, you have to install the required software and migrate or import the sample projects.

You are required to have the following information to specify your user environment:
  • Database user ID
  • Database password
  • Database service
  • Migrating Examples to TIBCO Business Studio
    To run the sample projects in the bw5 folder, you have to migrate the sample projects to TIBCO Business Studio.
  • Calling a Process for a BusinessWorks 5 Example
    After migrating the examples in the operation and salesorder folders, the BusinessWorks processes with the start activities cannot be run directly in TIBCO Business Studio. you have to create a new BusinessWorks 6 process to call a migrated process. This guide shows how to call the JMS_1INSERT-INTO-OPERATION_ORDER process in the operation example.
  • Importing Examples to TIBCO Business Studio
    To run the sample projects in the bw6 folder, you have to first import the sample projects to TIBCO Business Studio.
  • Required Software
    If you want to use the adapter with TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.x, you have to install the required software before running the examples.
  • Starting the EMS Server
    If a sample project uses the JMS transport type, ensure that the TIBCO Enterprise Message Service (EMS) server is running and accessible to the machine on which the adapter is installed before you start the adapter configurations.
