Plug-in Overview

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for BusinessConnect allows you to receive/send messages from/to BusinessConnect server. Messages received from trading partner can be packaged into different types of format based on the B2B standard followed by the trading community. These messages are processed by TIBCO BusinessConnect and converted into a canonicalized format which are sent to enterprise back office system. ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for BusinessConnect works as part of BusinessWorks processes to receive the canonicalized message from BusinessConnect and forward it to the back office system.

TIBCO Rendezvous or EMS is used as the communication system between BusinessConnect and BusinessWorks processes which plug the BusinessWorks Plug-in for BusinessConnect.

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks is easy to use integration product suite for enterprise, web, and mobile applications. It uses the Eclipse graphical user interface (GUI) for defining business processes and the process engine to execute them. TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for BusinessConnect plugs into TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks, which bridges TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks with BusinessConnect.

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks supports plug-ins to extend its functionality. TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for BusinessConnect includes one shared resource and six activities:

You can add this plug-in activities to the business process you are designing, and integrate them with the process flow. At runtime, the plug-in activities are executed as part of the ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks process execution. Each plug-in consists of activities which share common functionality and properties which are defined in the Shared Resource.
