Storage location for map archives allows a different location to be specified to store archived maps in. If left blank, map archives are stored in the Archives sub-folder within the process repository. Consider your disk space requirements as you may want to store archived maps on a different server to provide more space for the process repository to grow. Important: If you specify a different location, it must be accessible to users and to the TIBCO Nimbus® Web Server in order to allow users to access archived maps. If the Process Repository is stored on a remote server then it is not possible to specify a local location to store archives in.
Automatically archive on promotion will automatically archive diagrams and documents following their promotion. Note that this option will be grayed out if the option to use the TIBCO Nimbus® Batch Server for promoting draft content is selected.
Store compressed static version of map archives will store compressed static versions of map archives. Note: This requires the Archive Utility (CtrlArchive.exe) to be scheduled to run at regular intervals - see the Administration Guide for information on this utility.
Automatically remove old archives after is the duration to store archived maps before either moving them or permanently deleting them. Choose one of the following two options:
Permanently remove old archives will permanently delete archived maps.
Move old archives to a specified location will move old archives to a specified location.
Quick Access Archive Settings
For providing users with quick access to archives in the Author Client and web interface, you have two options. Note that once an archived map is made unavailable, it will remain in the system until it is permanently deleted. It is recommended to keep these values as low as possible due to the amount of disk space required to store uncompressed archived maps.
Allow quick access to archives up to x month old allows you to set how long to keep archived maps available to users.
Keep last x archives for quick access allows you to set the number of archives to be available to users at any one time for a given map. Once this number is exceeded for a specific map, access to the oldest archive will be removed. This option is useful if maps are being promoted and archived a lot in a short period of time, for example during extensive mapping exercises and the launch phase of projects.
