Running locally

Before you package the extension and deploy it for general use on Spotfire Server, you might want to run the configuration and test it in your local Spotfire Analyst installation.

About this task

Run the extension from Spotfire Package Builder and test it in your local installation of Spotfire Analyst.

Note: You can run the extension locally only for installed client distributions.

Procedure

Open the extension in Spotfire Package Builder.
The warning icon indicates that the configuration has not been saved.
Click Run Configuration.
The configuration is validated and saved before it is run. The installation of Spotfire Analyst you specified for the configuration is executed, and your extension is included in it for testing.
