Running a scheduled Automation Services job outside of its schedule

You can initiate a non-scheduled execution of a scheduled Automation Services job from the Spotfire Server web administration pages.

About this task

Note: You can also initiate a non-scheduled job execution from the Automation Services Job Builder and the Client Job Sender (both in the installed Spotfire client), and by using the public API.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Spotfire Server web administration pages and click Automation Services.
  2. On the Scheduled jobs page, locate the job in the list. Use search if you have many jobs in the list.
  3. Select the row for the job and click Run above the table, or use the context menu on the job's row to select Run.
  4. Optionally, right-click and select View activity to go to the Job activity page where you can view logs and see more details about the action.
