Spotfire Server and Environment - Quick Start

Removing trusted signers from a group

As an administrator, you can remove trusted signers from a group at any time.

Before you begin

You have added a signer as trusted in the library.

About this task

Note: All end users that have the permission to trust signers and items can also remove trust they have applied to an analysis using the File > Manage trust dialog in the Spotfire client. The View all trusted signers link in the dialog takes the users to the My account page on the server, where they can get an overview of all trusted signers and items, and revoke trust that has not been assigned by the administrator.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Spotfire Server web administration pages and click Groups.
  2. On the Groups page, double-click the group for which to remove trusted signers (use search if you have a long list of groups).
Tip: You can also select the group of interest and click the information icon , Open details panel, at the top right corner of the table. Use the arrow icons to toggle full screen view or a collapsed details view . See also Viewing details on the Spotfire Server administration pages.
  3. On the details page for the group, click Trusted signers.
  4. On the Trusted signers page, select the check box for the signers that you no longer want as trusted signers, and click Revoke trust above the table.
Tip: You can also right-click on a signer and select Revoke trust from the pop-up menu.

Results

The signer is no longer trusted by the group.
Tip: You can also remove previous trust decisions, revoke the certificate for a user to make their signature invalid, or block certain signers or items from ever being trusted, using the command-line. See Code trust commands for more information.
