Interactive Drill-Down Explorer Startup Panel - Review Tab
Select the Review tab of the Interactive Drill-Down Explorer Startup Panel to access options that apply to the list of variables selected via the Variables for review option. Use these options to compute various summary statistics and graphs for other variables (other than the variables for drill-down/up) of interest in your drill-down research. However, note that the selection of Variables for review may overlap with the list of variables selected for the drill-down/up operations.

Auto-updating results after drill-down and drill-up | If you selected the Auto-update all results check box in the
Startup Panel or the Create stand-alone results spreadsheets check box on the
Options tab, (which have the same effect, i.e., these two options are "linked" and selecting one will automatically select the other), the results spreadsheets and graphs selected on this tab will automatically be updated after each drill-down or drill-up operation to reflect the current drill-down "state," i.e., the observations selected by the drill-down conditions (variable-category pairs) that are currently applied to the data. For additional details, see also,
Auto-Updating Graphs and Summary Statistics after Each Drill-Down.
Statistics for Currently Selected Cases The following statistical and graphical summaries will be computed only for those cases (observations) selected by the current set of (active) drill-down conditions, i.e., they will reflect the current drill-down "state." |
Variables for review | Click this button to display a standard two-variable list selection dialog box, where you can select the continuous and categorical variables for which to compute the statistical or graphical summaries available on this tab. Note that for categorical variables, only Frequency tables, Histograms, 3D Histograms, and Pie Charts will be computed. |
Frequency tables: Current cases | Click this button to compute frequency tables for each variable selected into the list of Variables for review, computed from the cases (observations) selected by the current set of drill-down selection conditions (i.e., for the current drill-down "state"). |
Histograms: Current cases | Click this button to compute histograms for each variable selected into the list of Variables for review, computed from the cases (observations) selected by the current set of drill-down selection conditions (i.e., for the current drill-down "state"). |
3D Histograms | This option will compute 3D bivariate histograms for pairs of variables in the list of Variables for review, computed from the cases (observations) selected by the current set of drill-down selection conditions (i.e., for the current drill-down "state"). |
Pie charts | This option will compute pie charts for the variables selected into the list of Variables for review, computed from the cases (observations) selected by the current set of drill-down selection conditions (i.e., for the current drill-down "state"). |
Descriptive statistics: Continuous variables | Click this button to display a results spreadsheet with summary descriptive statistics for the continuous variables selected into the list of Variables for review, computed from the cases (observations) selected by the current set of drill-down selection conditions (i.e., for the current drill-down "state"). |
Scatterplot matrix | Click this button to compute a matrix of 2D scatterplots for the continuous variables selected into the list of Variables for review, computed from the cases (observations) selected by the current set of drill-down selection conditions (i.e., for the current drill-down "state"). |
Box & whisker | Click this button to compute box and whisker plots for the variables selected into the list of Variables for review. The box and whisker plot will summarize each variable by three components:
The specific types of statistics that will be computed to indicate these components of the plot can be selected on the Options tab, in the Options for Box-Whisker plots group box. |
