Start or stop Spotfire Server
You must start Spotfire Server after completing initial configuration of the server, before deploying client packages. In addition, you must restart Spotfire Server any time that you change its configuration. The restart causes the server to retrieve a fresh copy of the configuration.xml file from the database.
- Starting or stopping Spotfire Server (as a Windows service)
If you installed the Spotfire Server as a Windows service, you can manage it as a standard Windows service. - Starting or stopping Spotfire Server (Windows, no service)
If you did not install a Windows service you must start Spotfire Server manually. - Starting or stopping Spotfire Server (Windows, service exists, Integrated Authentication for SQL Server)
If your database server uses Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) for SQL Server, your Spotfire Server must run as a Windows Domain user that has permission to use the Spotfire database. - Starting or stopping Spotfire Server (Windows, no service, Integrated Authentication for SQL Server)
