GC&RT Results

Click the OK button in the Quick specs dialog box, or the OK (Run) button in the Analysis Wizard General Classification and Regression Trees - Between Design dialog box or the General Classification and Regression Trees Syntax Editor, to run the analysis and display the GC&RT Results dialog box, which can contain five tabs: Summary, Observational, Classification, Node, and Report (the Classification tab is shown only if the Categorical response check box is selected on the Quick specs dialog box - Quick tab). The options described here are available regardless of which tab is selected.

Note: Missing data (and surrogate splits). Missing data in predictor variables are handled differently in the General Classification and Regression Trees (GC&RT) module as compared to the Interactive Trees module. Because the Interactive Trees module does not support ANCOVA-like design matrices, it is more flexible in the handling of missing data. Refer to Missing Data in GC&RT, GCHAID, and Interactive Trees for additional details.
Tree #
This edit field is used to select a tree in the tree sequence that was generated in the pruning process. By default it will show the current best-size tree, consistent with the currently chosen criteria for selecting that tree (e.g., via v-fold cross-validation; see also the Introductory Overview for details). The number entered will select the respective tree from the list of consecutive trees (see also the Tree sequence and All tree layouts options on the GC&RT Results dialog box - Summary tab).
