After a backup of the primary realm server is created, you can restore the realm server from the backup by using this procedure.
Procedure
Stop all realm servers.
Replace the primary realm server's rs_data.db file in the realm server's data directory by overwriting it with the backup file created previously.
Restart the primary realm server in its data directory or use the
--data command-line option to point the realm server to the data directory.
Restart other realm servers such as backup or satellite, in their data directories or use the --data command-line option to point the realm server to its data directory.
When the non-primary realm servers are restarted, the primary realm server deploys its restored configuration to its backup realm server and any satellite or disaster recovery servers. See the
TIBCO FTL® Administration guide for situations where you might want to use the steps above for creating a backup of a realm server other than the primary. If multiple data grids are configured or you have configured other FTL applications along with your data grid, you must use this method and always only restore from the latest realm server backup and its associated ActiveSpaces checkpoint.
