TIBCO Control Plane

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ 5 and TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapters

• Consolidated Platform Base Chart (tibco-cp-base): The platform-bootstrap chart has now been merged into the platform-base chart. The new, unified chart is named tibco-cp-base. This consolidation streamlines the installation and management of Control Plane components.

• Decoupled Capability Charts: All capability-specific charts have been decoupled from the platform-base (now tibco-cp-base) chart. This allows for more flexible and independent deployment and management of individual capabilities, providing greater control for your TIBCO environment.

• Starting this release, Custom init and sidecar container support is added for BW6 (Containers) apps.

Domain Cards Listing

Truncate Revision Histories

We have added the ability to truncate revision histories based upon the max deployment revision history set on their applications.

Upgrade Application

Users can now upgrade their application if they have a domain which is migrated from a previous version.

  Use the Swagger UI to deploy, monitor, and manage your BW5 (Container) applications through native APIs.

• Auto-Scaling Configuration

  Configure auto-scaling for your BW5 (Container) applications at the time of deployment or for applications that are already running.

• Import and Export App Builds

  Easily import and export app builds within the TIBCO BusinessWorks5 (Containers) capability.

• Helm Chart Support

  Deploy TIBCO BusinessWorks5 (Containers) applications using Helm charts through the capability's UI and API.

• Application Rollback

  Roll back your BW5 applications to a previous revision. From the Helm Configuration tab, you can view the YAML file for previous revisions and select a desired version to restore.

With this release, we have added the support for adding custom plug-ins to the dataplane in BW6 (Containers) capability.

TIBCO Flogo Capability

• You can now use the GET /v1/dp/apps/{appId}/instances API to retrieve a list of application instances for a specified app ID.

• You can now use the GET /v1/dp/builds/{buildId}/info API to retrieve detailed information about a specific build, including the build OS, architecture, base version, build time, and more, for the specified build ID.

TIBCO Flogo Capability

Helm Configuration Management

You can now view, update, and manage Helm chart configurations for your Flogo Helm-managed applications from the Helm Configuration tab. You can also view helm app revisions, including current release and revision details, roll back to earlier versions, and edit YAML files. For more information, see Viewing Helm Configuration.

API for Viewing Release History of an Application Chart Deployment

Use the GET /v2/dp/apps/{appId}/release/history API to view the release history of a Flogo application deployed using a Helm chart. This API returns a list of all previous releases for the specified application, including revision numbers and related details. For more information, see Helm Chart APIs for Application Management.

New Environment Variables

The following environment variables have been introduced:

• FLOGO_LOG_CTX: Use this variable to enable context logging for the application. When set to true, context such as application name, version, tracing details, and flow details are included in engine and connector logs.

• FLOGO_LOG_CTX_FIELDS: When context logging is enabled, set this variable to add custom context fields to the logging context.

• FLOGO_ENV: Set this variable to specify the name of the deployment environment (for example, dev, staging, production). By default, this value is included in the logging context (if enabled) and in Flogo OpenTelemetry traces and metrics.

TIBCO Developer Hub

Support for Multiple Control Planes

You can add multiple Control Planes when provisioning or updating the TIBCO Developer Hub. After applying the configuration for adding multiple Control Planes, clicking the Control Plane menu in the left navigation will open a panel showing the configured Control Planes along with the ‘Primary Control Plane’. Clicking on the links will redirect to respective Control Planes as provided in the configuration URL.

This release adds support for TCP endpoints for Platform BWCE apps.

TIBCO Flogo Capability

The following APIs have been added in this release:

• API for Listing Available Flogo Connectors on a Control Plane

  You can now use the GET /v1/cp/connectors API to retrieve a list of all Flogo Connectors available on a control plane.

• API for Provisioning Flogo Connectors to a Data Plane

  You can now use the POST /v1/dp/connectors/{connector}/{version} API to provision a Flogo Connector to a data plane.

• API for Listing Connector Supplements Uploaded on a Data Plane

  You can now use the GET /v1/dp/supplements API to retrieve a list of all uploaded connector supplements on a data plane.

• API for Listing Flogo Versions Available on a Control Plane

  You can now use the GET /v1/cp/flogoversions API to retrieve a list of all TIBCO Flogo versions available on a control plane.

• API for Provisioning Flogo Versions to a Data Plane

  You can now use the POST /v1/dp/flogoversions/{version} API to provision a Flogo version to a data plane.

• API for Deleting a Flogo Version from a Data Plane

  You can now use the DELETE /v1/dp/flogoversions/{version} API to delete a specific Flogo version from a data plane.

Import Flow Enhancements

To support more advanced import flow scenarios, the following enhancements are done:

• Two new actions (Git clone and Push) are added. This speeds up the import flow.

• Custom filter: base64 Decode and Encode are added.

• Global flags in Regex expression are supported.

Custom PostgreSQL Database Support

You can now use your own PostgreSQL database to store TIBCO Developer Hub data. When provisioning TIBCO Developer Hub, you need to specify the database resource which contains custom PostgreSQL database configuration. For more information, see PostgreSQL Database Config.
