Adding Spaces and Space Connections

To store data distributed in multiple applications, add spaces to a metaspace and add space connections for a space to define how applications and agents can access the space.

Prerequisites

The Space and Space Connection shared resources are embedded in the Metaspace shared resource. Ensure that you have created a metaspace connection before adding spaces and space connections.

Procedure

  1. In the Metaspace editor, click the Space and Space Connection tab.
  2. Click Add Space to add a space in the created metaspace.
    The configuration information is displayed in the right panel.

  3. Select the space that you want to add a connection to, and then click Add Space Connection.
    The configuration information is displayed in the right panel.

  4. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 to add more spaces and space connections.

What to do next

In the Space and Space Connection editor, you can manage the added spaces and space connections:
  • Click Remove to delete the selected spaces or space connections.
  • Click Export to export the space definition of the selected space. The exported files are in XML format.
