Preinstallation Tasks

Before installing the adapter, make sure that your system meets all prerequisites and that you install the required software in the right order.

Before installing TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for DataBase (TIBCO Business Studio), install related products in the following order:
  1. Install TIBCO Rendezvous.
  2. Install TIBCO Runtime Agent.
  3. Install TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.x. (Optional)
  4. Install TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework.
  5. Install TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database.
Note: If you install TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework and TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database (TIBCO Business Studio) to configure adapters, you have to install TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.x before installing TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework and TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database (TIBCO Business Studio). If you install TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework to deploy and run EAR files of adapter projects by using a command line, TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.x is not required.
Note: Ensure that TIBCO Rendezvous, TIBCO Runtime Agent, TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.x, TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework, TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database, and TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database (TIBCO Business Studio) are installed in the same TIBCO_HOME.
