Version History
The Document history dialog box is displayed when you click the Versions button on an object's main properties page. The Document history dialog box displays the SDMS document history for the object.
- Revision
- This column displays the revision number of this version of the object. Revision numbers start at 1 and increment each time modifications are made to the object.
- Version
- This shows the version number in the form major.minor.
- User
- This column shows the user who made the change.
- Date
- This column shows the data and time the revision was created.
- Description
- This column displays the operation that the user performed.
- Comment
- This column displays the comment as entered by the user when the revision was created.
- Go to latest version
- If an earlier version is being viewed, click this button to restore the object to the latest (current) version, which will allow editing again.
- View
- Select a revision and click the View button; this will temporarily revert this object to the specified revision number. The Enterprise Manager UI for the object will be read-only, and the title of the object will have version information appended that shows the version currently being viewed and the latest version available, e.g., “0.1/0.3”. To revert to the current version, click the Go to latest version button.
- Approve
- Click this button to approve the revision. It will only be enabled for the latest revision in the history listing.
- Revert
- If a change is made in error, or some other problem is found after a change is made, press this button to revert to a previous version of the object.
- Compare
- If you select two separate revisions, the Compare button will be enabled. Click the Compare button to extract the two revisions into text format, and compare them using the version comparison tool.
- Close
- Click the Close button to close the Document history dialog box.
