Auto-start Job Entry for Start Responder Command

You can create an auto-start job entry to start all three MFT Platform Server Responder services whenever the related subsystem is started. This can be very useful when using the CFSTRRSP command. This means that it does not have to be manually started when the IBM i system is IPL’d.
Note: The TCP/IP Protocol (STRTCP) must be started before executing the CFSTRRSP command. The MFT Platform Server product has a TCP/IP Protocol Connection Retry Routine. The MFT Platform Server Responder program keeps trying to connect to TCP/IP Protocol on the IBM i system for 5 minutes. If no connection is made in that time frame, then it sends an error message and ends the program.

To start any one or two or all three MFT Platform Server Responders, you must change the job description object supplied by MFT Platform Server product called CFSTRRSP# in the MFT Platform Server product library. Change the job description CFSTRRSP# parameter field, called Request data or command, to match the MFT Platform Server product's CFSTRRSP command with the correct two parameter entries. MFTPLATvvv represents the product library, where vvv denotes the version number of TIBCO MFT Platform Server for IBM i. Examples: MFTPLATvvv/CFSTRRSP, MFTPLATvvv/CFSTRRSP TLS(*BOTH), MFTPLATvvv/CFSTRRSP TLS(*BOTH) TLSTYPE(*BOTH).
