Directory Transfers Using and Wildcard Support

MFT Platform Server supports * and ? wildcards. They have exactly the same meaning on each TIBCO MFT Platform Server product on an open platform as they do in TIBCO MFT Platform Server for IBM i. For all platforms, * means any number of any symbols in the file name and ? means any one symbol in the file name. MFT Platform Server interprets these symbols if they are present in the file name after the last forward slash (/). Any combination and amount of these symbols and alphanumeric characters may be used to narrow down desired files.

Only those file names that satisfy the selection criteria are transferred. For example, the name /home/johndoe/r?t* matches the files /home/johndoe/returns and /home/johndoe/ratelist but not the name /home/johndoe/report. To transfer an entire directory, a single * must be used and is considered a directory transfer.
