Installing Apache HTTP Server on UNIX Platform

You can install the Apache server on the UNIX platform.

1. Go to the http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi#apache24 link.
2. Download the source file. For example, httpd-2.4.7.tar.gz.
3. Compile the source and install it. Refer to the Apache httpd server documentation for the complete installation details. You may download the binary installation for your distribution.
