Primary Out of Sync with Backup

If a primary server or a satellite has a backup, it cannot accept updates unless it is connected to its backup server. Nonetheless, out-of-sync situations can arise.

In rare situations, it is possible that the primary server can have a newer deployment than its backup server. This situation automatically resolves itself when the primary and backup servers reconnect.

In extremely rare situations, it is possible that a backup server B can have a newer deployment than its primary server P.

Warning: It is important to resolve this anomalous situation.

To recover, complete the task Resyncing a Primary from a Backup Server.
