The following table describes the general Batch Utility messages.

Explanation: The program Progname terminated because of warnings or error messages previously issued during execution. This error usually occurs if parameters are incorrectly specified. The program terminated after validating all the input parameters that have been read.

Explanation: If a message line extends beyond 80 characters, a separate message with the return and reason codes is sent to the output data set. This line supplies the codes for the immediately preceding or warning message.

Explanation: A call to an internal module has returned an error.

Explanation: A Language Environment (LE) error has occurred during the use of a field of name. Description is an extract from the LE that describes the error condition.

Explanation: The program has called the LE function Func but received an error.

Description describes the problem.

SXG8410E Parameter Usage incorrect. Suggested usage follows
Explanation: The parameter values in the JOB card on the PARM statement have been incorrectly supplied. Valid parameters are normally supplied in the output medium that precedes this error message.

SXG8411E Incorrectly specified parameter (name)
Explanation: The parameter keywords or keyword values specified in the SYSIN DD Name have been incorrectly supplied. name is the keyword that is in error. Normally, a return code and a reason code, which define the error condition, accompany this message.

User Response: See the TIBCO Substation ES Configuration and Resources manual for the correct syntax or values for the keyword that is in error.

SXG8411I Valid Commands (parameter)
Explanation: The program has encountered the invalid initialization parameter parameter.

User Response: Fix the invalid parameter and resubmit the job.

SXG8412E Entries Exceeded List:value
Explanation: The amount of entries received and to be stored in a table exceeds the table size value. Either the parameters specified are problematic, the rate at which entries are received exceeds the rate of those being removed, or the table size is too small.

User Response: Contact TIBCO Support with the information on the error from the SYSPRINT and SYSOUT files.

SXG8413E Insufficient command line parameter
Explanation: The program encountered initialization parameters on PARM= that do not correspond to the number expected.

Explanation: Message number was sent.

Explanation: The field name is in the reply message but was not inserted into the table when the utility was searching for the request message. Either the field is not in the request message or the parameters have been incorrectly specified.

User Response: Ensure that the same field name with identical attributes and content is in the request and the reply message. Execute a listener for both the request and reply and ensure that the field name in error is in both messages. Set the print level to its maximum allowable value to view the hex display of the field in error.

SXG8642I Req Time, Reply Time: request time reply time
Explanation: The message identifies the time a request entry and a reply entry was received by the TIMER utility. The difference in the time is regarded as the round-trip time that it takes a request to be completed. If the print level parameter is specified and is equal to or greater than 2, the SXG8652I message is printed, specifying the actual round-trip time. The time format is Hours:Minutes:Seconds:thousandth of a second.

SXG8645I CICS Send Time:Date -- Time - Task#:number Idx:value
Explanation: When a request message is initiated from CICS, you can specify the parameter of the field type that defines that a Substation ES CICS Envelope field is present within the message. That parameter causes this message to be displayed.

The following items are in the Substation ES Envelope field:

  • A timestamp
  • The CICS task number
  • An index number of the online table entry of the transaction that issued the request

If the envelope field serves as the context identifier, the values within the envelope are printed by the TIMER utility. The timestamp is placed in the envelope before the CICS request module sends the message. The time format is

Hours:Minutes:Seconds:thousandth of a second.

Explanation: value represents the number of currently active request entries in the context table of the TIMER utility, that is, the number of entries that have not yet received an acknowledgement from a reply. This message is printed subsequent to the issuance of the operator command STATS.

Explanation: value represents the number of maximum active request entries in the context table of the TIMER utility, that is, the number of entries that have not yet received an acknowledgment from a reply.

Explanation: value is the number of request entries that have been successfully acknowledged through a comparison with a field from a reply message stored in the context table of the TIMER utility. value normally specifies the number of successful request or reply interactions.

SXG8652I Round Trip Time:time (sec.ths)
Explanation: time is the time from when a request was received until a reply with the same context field was received. This is normally it took the time for the message to reach its destination, the application to formulate and send the reply, and the reply to reach the TIMER utility again.

SXG8653I Round Trip Time (Avg):time (sec.ths)
Explanation: time is the average time of all successful message interactions from when a request was received until a reply with the same context field was received. This is a summary message that is printed when the program ends or when the REFRESH operator command is issued for the job.

time is in the format of Seconds:thousandth of a second.

SXG8654I Messages per Second:value
Explanation: value is calculated from the number of successful message interactions and divided by the time the first entry in the TIMER context table was inserted until the last entry was acknowledged.

This is a summary message that is printed when the program ends or when the REFRESH operator command is issued for the job.

Explanation: This message shows the date and time the first context entry was stored in the TIMER utility context table.
