Viewing Version History of Hierarchy

After a hierarchy is saved in the draft, pending, or published state, you can view the changes made in different versions of the hierarchy. To view the version history, select Version History.

Each time you modify a hierarchy, it is saved with different versions. The first time you create the hierarchy, the hierarchy is in V1 (version 1). The next time you modify the hierarchy and save it, a new version V2 is created with the latest changes. For every change you make to the hierarchy, a new version is created when you save it.

Procedure

  1. On the hierarchy viewer, click More Actions icon next to Edit and select Version History.

  2. Click the version number of a hierarchy for which you want to view the history.

  3. In the hierarchy viewer, click the More info icon to view the changes made to the hierarchy.

In the Changes section, a list of new, modified, and moved nodes is displayed. Click the More info icon next to each node. The changes are displayed on the tooltip.
  4. Optional: On the Version history of hierarchy name page, select the version and click Export to export the version history of hierarchy.
The selected version is exported. For details, see Exporting Hierarchy.
