Downloading Logs

Logs are helpful in solving technical issues, and you can use them for troubleshooting. To view the logs, you must first download them from the log directory of the TIBCO MDM server.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have allocated sufficient space for the log directory (usually 1 GB). Also, see Common Prerequisites for Log Download and Server Performance.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Tools > Log Download.
  2. Select the node from the Node list.
  3. Select the check box next to the log file name and click Download to download the logs.
    Downloads the log file with its name and extension.
  4. Optional: Click Download All to download all log files.
  5. In the Save As dialog box, select the location where you want to download the log file and click Save.
    The log file is saved to the selected location. The log file is nodename_log.zip.
  6. Extract the contents of the ZIP file.
    The ZIP folder contains the logs of the selected node of the TIBCO MDM server.
