Using Configurator UI

Using the Save And Redeploy option in Configurator, you can hot deploy the configuration property.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have specified the host name and port number in the Node URL property for all the selected nodes or members.

Procedure

  1. Modify the configuration property that is hot deployable.
For a hot deployable properties list, refer to Applicability.
  2. Select the Node ID from the left navigation pane.
  3. Click Save & Redeploy.
The Save & Redeploy dialog box is displayed.

  4. Enter the super user credentials in the following fields:
    • Company Name
    • User Name
    • Password
In the Cluster Node field, the selected cluster node is displayed, which is specified in Cluster Outline > Initial Config.
  5. Type the description, if any.
  6. Click Save.
The property is deployed on the selected TIBCO MDM server. It then initiates a runtime refresh as well as re-initialization of the configuration within TIBCO MDM. Certain properties that can be auto refreshed and some still require a server restart for reinitialization.
    Important:
    • In case of clustered environment, a message is displayed to deploy the configuration property on the next node. Repeat the steps from 1 to 6 to deploy the configuration property on the next node.
    • After completing the hot deployment on all Node IDs, the Save And Redeploy option is disabled.
