Complete the following steps to release locks on a work item.
Procedure
Select the work item on the Inbox screen.
Click the
Release Lock button
to release the lock on a work item. The work item is unlocked and other users of the shared work item are given access to it.
You can release a work item lock under the following conditions:
When a work item expires or times out, it can be automatically unlocked. This can be configured by the Enable Release of Work Item Lock on Timeout property in Configurator.
When you close a work item, it is automatically unlocked and closed.
