Category Specific Attributes
Using the Category Specific Attributes feature, you can capture the details of a record based on its categorization. Consider, you have the PRODUCTS repository and the products listed in the repository belong to Food and Beverages industry.
The products are of various types, such as Bakery, Dairy, Cereals and Food Grains, Dry Fruits and Nuts, and so on. Consider that the common attributes for all kinds of these products are Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) and price.
However, the Bakery products require additional attributes, such as, Type of grain and Type of Filling, and the Dairy products require Organic and Level of Fat Claim. These attributes are called as Category Specific Attributes.
Therefore, to arrange the various categories of these products in a particular hierarchy, create a classification scheme. In these categories, you may have sub categories, such as, some food items belong Nutrition and others to Diet category.
