Deleting a Repository

Prerequisites

  • If a business process rule is referring to the repository, it must be referred to other repositories prior to deletion.
  • If any references of the repository are defined in the Rulebase, all such references must be referred to valid repositories prior to deletion.
  • If any open work items for records of the repository are available, delete is not allowed. The already closed work items are not affected.

Procedure

  1. Log in to TIBCO MDM.
  2. Click Master Data > Repositories. The Repositories screen is displayed.
  3. Select the repository, and then click . A confirmation message is displayed.
  4. Read and confirm the following deletion of objects:
    • Deletes all associated input maps
    • Deletes all subset rules based on the repository
    • Makes all synchronization profiles based on the repository unusable
    • Makes all data stored in the repository unusable
    • Changes the definition of perspectives
  5. Click OK to delete a repository or Cancel to cancel the deletion process.

After deleting a repository, the history of all records, though not deleted, is not accessible. If the records are added again, the previous history still applies.
