Administration

Using the Administration module of TIBCO MDM, an administrator can perform the following activities:

  • Create and maintain user accounts and profiles

    This feature allows you to create, modify, and delete user accounts that use the application within a company. You can maintain the name, contact details, default synchronization format to be used, and roles assigned to the user. You can also configure default date and time formats and allowed roles for a selected user. You can also activate and deactivate a delegation profile for a selected user.

  • Define roles

    This feature allows you to view users assigned for a particular role. If you have admin privileges, you can modify the users assigned to a particular role. You can also configure role delegation.

    Note: The admin module is role specific and may not be available to all roles.
  • Create and maintain a company profile

    This feature allows you to maintain your own datapool profile and also configure contact details, supported synchronization formats, and credentials. It also shows a list of datapools that you have subscribed to and allows you to set credentials for them.

  • Create and maintain Datapool profiles

    This feature allows you to view all available datapool profiles and modify or subscribe to them.

  • Create and maintain backend system profiles

    This feature allows you to create, modify, and delete your backend system profiles. You can maintain the name, contact details, credentials, and default synchronization formats that will be used by the backend systems. You can also set the Datapool Participation for the backend system. Moreover you can add FTP details that will be used when the transport mechanism is FTP (while publishing).

  • Specify resource security

    This feature allows you to select specific resources from a list of repositories and set permissions for them.

  • View the Event log
