Workflow can be defined to run in-memory. Such workflows produce less persistent data and hence require less disk space, both on the file system and the database.

Failover considerations
It is recommended that only smaller workflows be run in-memory and not long running workflows, since in case of failover for an in-memory workflow, the entire workflow is re-executed. For more information on workflow failover, refer to
