Classification Schemes
Using Classification schemes, you can organize records based on their attributes. For example, vendor records can be organized by a country-state-city hierarchy. You can define an unlimited number of classifications, each with unlimited levels of hierarchy.
Whenever record data is changed, records are automatically classified for all classification schemes defined for repositories, provided the record has classification details.
You can restrict the browse access to any classification schemes using Resource Security. Note that the View Repository screen shows a list of all classifications defined for the repository, even if some of these classifications are private, that is, restricted to one or more users. If you have repository metadata access, then you can modify or delete such classifications. For information on private classification scheme, refer to Private Classification Scheme.
