Failover Log File

In order to be able to monitor failover situations, a special log file is configured. The default name and location for this file is failover.log located in the main logging directory ($MQ_LOG).

The file will only be written to when the system is in wait-retry mode, that is, the system has problems with one of the external components. The file itself can be monitored in order to find out if the system is in wait-retry mode and needs administrative intervention.
