Navigating Openspace

You can navigate Openspace using Tab to move forward and Shift, then Tab to move back. You can also use shortcut keys.

Listed below are some general points about navigating around Openspace.
  • To move through the controls:
    • press Tab to move forwards
    • press Shift + Tab to move backwards.
    Note: When a control has focus, this is represented by a focus rectangle, consisting of a dotted border. For example, Focus is represented by a dashed black line around the currently selected control.. If you do not want the elements to be displayed with an outline, remove the *:focus CSS declaration in the accessibility.css stylesheet.
  • To apply the action of a control, you can press Spacebar or Enter.
  • You can move back to the first control of the page you are on at any time by navigating to Focus is represented by a dashed black line around the currently selected control. . For example, if you are in Work Views, pressing Enter on Skip to Main Content will take the focus to the Work List box.
  • Openspace has the following paging options:
    Icon Description
    The icon is a horizontal line with a black arrow to the right of the line, pointing from right to left Move to the first page of the list.
    The icon is a black arrow pointing from right to left Move to the previous page in the list.
    The icon is a black arrow pointing from left to right Move to the next page in the list.
    The icon is a black arrow, pointing from left to right with a black horizontal line to the right of it Move to the last page of the list.
    Select/Unselect all the items on the current page.
