Specify Grouping Variable
Click the Specify groups button on the Advanced tab of the Startup Panel or the Model tab of the Monte Carlo Analysis dialog box to display the Specify Grouping Variable dialog box when you are analyzing raw data. Use the options here to specify a grouping variable and its codes.
- Grouping variable
- Use the options under Grouping Variable to select a grouping variable to use in dividing your sample into two or more groups.
- Use
- Select the Use option button if you want to divide the sample into groups using the currently selected grouping variable.
- Ignore
- Select the Ignore option button to ignore the grouping variable and treat the entire data file as one sample.
- Variable
- Click the Variable button to display a list of current variables. Select which one to use in dividing your sample into two or more groups.
- Codes
- Click the Codes button to display the Select Codes dialog box from which you can specify values of the grouping variable to use in dividing your sample into groups. One group will be created for each code value you select.
- OK
- Click the OK button to accept the specifications made here and return to the previous dialog box.
- Cancel
- Click the Cancel button to return to the previous dialog box without changing the current options.
