Statistica ETL: Time-Indexed - Advanced Tab

Select the Advanced tab of the Statistica ETL: Time-indexed Startup Panel to access the options described here. This tab contains the same options as on the Quick tab plus less commonly used Time-Indexed Statistica ETL options.

The grid at the top lists the data sources and their associated properties such as data source ID for recording or editing SVB macros, data type, and name. When your cursor hovers over a data source in the grid, a tool tip displays the full path of the data source location.
Element Name Element Type Description
Add data source Button Click this button to display the Select Data Sources dialog box, where you can specify a data source to add to the list
Remove data source Select a data source in the grid at the top of the tab and click this button to remove that data source from the grid
Note: To change the sequence in which the data sources are aligned/merged, select a data source and click the arrow buttons at the side of the grid. Click the down arrow to demote the selected source; click the up arrow to promote the selected source
Options/properties applicable to selected data source above These options apply to the data source selected in the grid
Variables Button Click this button to display the Select Variables dialog box, where you select date/time and output variables
Variable specs Button Click this button to display the Variable Specification dialog box, which provides data cleaning and aggregation options for each selected output variable. Adjacent to the Variable specs button, the word default is displayed if no specifications have been changed
Add/subtract constant time: Shift time by Check box Select this check box to shift date/time stamp by a specified amount of time: positive number to add time or negative number to subtract time. Values can be shifted by one of three time interval types: Minutes , Hours , or Days
Assume data is sorted ascending by date (merge step will be faster) Check box Select this check box to decrease runtime significantly for very large data sets that are pre-sorted ascending by date. If the data are not sorted ascending by date, a warning message displays
Use input data case selection conditions Check box Select this check box to specify that Statistica uses a subset of cases as defined in the input spreadsheet conditions
Use variable prefix Check box When this check box is selected, variables in the output contain a default prefix, which is the data source name. The prefix can be changed in the adjacent edit box
Only use when sources have duplicate variable names Check box When this check box is selected, only duplicate variables contain a prefix
Aggregation interval for all data source(s) The selected date/time interval aligns data across all defined data sources
Minutes Option button When this option button is selected, the aggregation interval is minutes, starting from the minute specified. Limit of k minutes (1 k < 60)
Hours Option button This is the default aggregation interval. When selected, the aggregation interval is hours, starting from the hour specified. Limit of l hours (1 l < 24)
Days Option button When this option button is selected, the aggregation interval is days, starting from the day specified. Limit of m days (1 m 9999)
Weekly - start from Option button When this option button is selected, the aggregation interval is weeks, starting from the day of the week specified (i.e. Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday etc.)
Monthly - start from Option button When this option button is selected, the aggregation interval is months, starting from the day of the month specified. Limit of 1 through 31
Quarterly - start from Option button When this option button is selected, the aggregation interval is quarters, starting from the date specified. Limit of January 1 through December 31
Annually - start from Option button When this option button is selected, the aggregation interval is years, starting from the date specified. Limit of January 1 through December 31
Note: If an interval of Minutes , Hours , or Days is selected, the Round initial date/time to lowest interval check box is available to round initial date/time stamps to the lowest interval (i.e., minute, hour, or day).

For example, if an hourly interval is chosen, the lower bound would fall onto a full hour, such as 7:00, and not onto fractional times, such as 7:30.
