Zoom Out Button
This button is active only when you have previously "zoomed-in" on the current graph. When you click the button, the mouse pointer becomes a magnifier, enabling you to proportionally "shrink" the current graph and redraw it in the new ranges of coordinates either in the same window, or in a separate window (CTRL+ to create a new graph). Place the magnifier over the area of the graph that you want to reduce and single-click. This results in a reduced view of the specified area; the point where you click (the focal point of reduction) becomes the center of the new graph window. Each time you click the Zoom Out tool, the graph area is reduced by a factor of approximately 2. Note that you are not able to zoom out beyond the scaling of the graph. Note also that the Zoom Out tool will stay active until you select another tool from the Graph Tools toolbar (e.g., button).
- Reversing the Zoom In operation
- If you previously magnified a portion of the graph using the Zoom In button, the original location of the graph in the window will not be restored unless you select exactly the same focal points for the Zoom Out operation as those you had used for the Zoom In. In order to quickly restore the original graph magnification, you can use the Reset Zoom button.
