Neural Networks

On the Model building tab, select the Neural network check box and click the Neural network button to display this dialog box.

Element Name	Description
MLP min. hidden units	Minimum number of hidden units to be tried by the Automatic Network Search (ANS) when using MLP networks.
MLP max. hidden units	Maximum number of hidden units to be tried by the Automatic Network Search (ANS) when using MLP networks.
Networks to train	The number of networks the Automatic Network Search (ANS) must perform. The larger the number of networks trained the more detailed is the search carried out by the ANS. Note: It is recommended that you set the value for this option as large as possible depending on your hardware speed and resources.
Networks to retain	The number neural networks tested by the Automatic Network Search (ANS) must be retained (for testing, and then insertion into the current network set). Networks with the lowest error for regression and highest classification rate for classification are retained.
