Crosstable Group

In the Statistica Reporting Tables dialog box, in the Derived variables group box, click the Crosstable Group button to display the Crosstable Group dialog box. These options are used to define a set of categorical input variables to be handled specially. When a Crosstable Group is created, two new virtual variables will be displayed in the Variables list of the Reporting Tables dialog box. One of these represents the list of variables and the other the list of levels (categories) found in those variables when the report is processed.

Select Variables. Click this button to display a variable selection dialog box. Select two or more variables that will be included in the group. Generally, the variables should use a common set of values.

Group Label. Type the name that will be assigned to the group and that will become part of the default axis labels when the group pseudo-variables are assigned to axes.

For example, the measure variables in the Adstudy.sta example data file are all integer coded on a scale from 0-9. Using the Crosstable Group feature, we can design a report treating these as related categorical variables:
