Workspace Node: SANN Regression/Classification/Time Series/Clustering - Results - Graphs Tab

In the SANN Regression, SANN Classification, SANN Time Series (Regression), SANN Time Series (Classification), or SANN Clustering node dialog box, under the Results heading, select the Graphs tab to access the following options. Note that for all graph types, you can include cases in the Train, Test, and/or Validation subsets by selecting the appropriate check boxes in the Sample group box (located on the Samples tab). For example, to produce a histogram of the outputs for the Validation subset, select Output in the X-axis box, select the Validation check box in the Samples group box, and select the Histograms of X check box. Only the predictions for cases in the validation sample will be plotted.

Element Name Description
Case names (2-D and 3-D) Select this check box to include the case names as point labels on 2D and 3D graphs. When case names are not used in the data set, case numbers will be displayed.
X-axis/Y-axis/Z-axis Select either the activations or an input variable to plot on the respective axis. The variables lists contain both input variables and network activations. Select either of them to plot the corresponding 1/2/3D relationships; note that the plot will be generated for the subset of cases specified in Samples group box (located on the Samples tab). Available graph types are dependent on the number of selections you make with these list boxes. For example, if you want to generate a 3D surface plot, you must select a value in each list box. By default, values are selected in the X-axis and Y-axis list box enabling you to create histograms (for the X-axis variable) or 2D scatterplots (for the X-axis and Y-axis variables).
Histograms of X Select this check box to generate a histogram of the selection in the X-axis list box. When there is more than one active network, individual histograms will be generated for each network.
X and Y Select this check box to generate a 2D scatterplot of the variables selected in the X-axis and Y-axis list boxes. When there is more than one active network, a multiple scatterplot will be generated that plots the selected values for all networks, where applicable.
X, Y and Z Select this check box to generate a 3D surface plot of the variables selected in the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis list boxes. When there is more than one active network and Activation has been selected in one of the axis boxes, an individual surface plot will be generated for each network.
Real time training graph display Use the options in this group box to specify the samples that you want to plot in the training graph. These options are available only if Custom neural networks (CNN) or Subsampling (random, bootstrap) is selected on the Quick tab.
Training error Select this check box to produce a training graph for the active networks.
Train Error The training graph will contain the train error when this check box is selected.
Test Error The training graph will contain the test error when this check box is selected.

OK Click the OK button to accept all the specifications made in the dialog box and to close it. The analysis results will be placed in the Reporting Documents node after running (updating) the project.
