2D Scatterplots
Creates regular and multiple 2D scatterplots; if a single variable list is selected, scatterplots will be produced for all pairs of variables in the first list. If two variables lists are specified, all pairs of variables from the two lists will be plotted. For multiple scatterplots (graph type Multiple scatterplot), select two lists of variables.
General
Element Name | Description |
---|---|
Graph type | Specifies the type of 2D scatterplot to be plotted. If Regular plot is selected, lists of standard 2D scatterplots - one variable pair at a time - will be produced. If Multiple scatterplot is selected, multiple pairs of variables are plotted in a single (overlaid) graph. |
Fit type | Creates a fit (model) for the 2D scatterplot; the fitted equation or function will be shown in the graph. |
Regression band type | Specifies whether to show (in the scatterplots with fit) lines to depict the confidence limits for the respective fitted line, or prediction limits for the respective fitted line. This option is not available (and is ignored) for some fit types. |
p value, for limits. | Specifies the probability value (level) to be used in the computation of confidence or prediction limits in the scatterplots. |
Ellipse option | Use the options to superimpose an ellipse on the data in the scatterplot. You can display one of two types of ellipses (Normal or Range), or leave it off (select Off). |
Ellipse confidence level | Specifies the coefficient that controls the ellipses. |
Detail of computed results reported | Specifies the detail of computed results reported. If All results is requested, some regression statistics, such as the correlations for the plotted variables and the corresponding p-values, regression equations, etc., will be reported. |
