Statistics - Statistics of Block Data - Block Columns/Rows - Means

Ribbon Bar. Select the Statistics tab. In the Tools group, click Block Data Stats and on either the Block Columns submenu or the Block Rows submenu, select Means.

Classic menus. On either the Statistics - Statistics of Block Data - Block Columns submenu or the Statistics - Statistics of Block Data - Block Rows submenu, select Means.

You can compute the mean for each row or column in a selected block in the spreadsheet. The means is computed and displayed in a new spreadsheet.

Selecting Statistics of Block Data - Block Columns displays the resulting statistic in a new spreadsheet and the case name includes the name of the selected statistic and the range description.

Selecting Statistics of Block Data - Block Rows displays the resulting statistic in a new spreadsheet and the variable name contains the name of the selected statistic and the range description.

Note: You can also access this option by right-clicking on a selected block in the spreadsheet and selecting Statistics of Block Data - Block Columns/Rows - Means from the Spreadsheet View shortcut menu.
